Stovetop: Add 1/3 cup kernels and 2 Tbsp oil to 3 qt saucepan or popper. Cover and cook on medium heat; leave pan lid cracked to allow steam to escape. When popping begins to slow, remove from heat. Season as desired.
Microwave: Add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels to a small paper bag. Fold the top of the bag over twice and place it in your microwave. Cook on high for about 2-3 minutes. Stop the microwave when the popping slows to about 1 or 2 pops per second to avoid burning. Spray oil or butter onto popped corn and season generously.
